Registration

  • We do not have single day or partial registration. However, you are not required to attend every day.

  • You should receive an email immediately. Please check your spam folder if you have not received this confirmation.

  • Please bring a government-issued ID for verification purposes.

  • Yes.

  • No, but active members do receive significantly discounted rates. Join or Renew now!

  • No.

  • Yes. Without it, you will not be able to attend convention programming, including sessions and receptions.


  • You may have registered twice if you’ve received two confirmation emails. Please refer back to your email and decide if you’d like to attend convention through your professional or personal email.

  • Gala is included in registration unless otherwise specified. For example, volunteer registration and speaker registration do not include the gala, which can be purchased for an additional fee. RSVPs are required to confirm your seat. You should receive an invitation about one month before convention.

  • Please email sponsorship@aaja.org for more information on sponsorship opportunities.

  • Please contact support@aaja.org for payment options.

  • Yes, all are welcome.

  • Yes, and a Gala seat can be purchased for an additional fee.

  • Please contact the hotel to inquire.

  • We encourage registrants to book their hotels as soon as possible. We have a limited number of rooms available at our special group rate and we hope you will be able to take advantage of it. You can access the room block link here: https://book.passkey.com/go/AAJA2024

  • You are not required to stay at the same hotel as the convention. The limited number of rooms priced at a special group rate are offered as a courtesy, and you are welcome to stay wherever is most convenient for you.

CANCELLATIONS

  • No refunds will be issued for AAJA convention registrations. By registering for the convention, the registrant acknowledges and agrees to this policy. AAJA shall not be held liable for any inconvenience, loss, damage, or expense incurred by the registrant as a result of this policy. The registrant assumes all risks and responsibilities associated with registering for the convention, and failure to understand or agree to this policy is the sole responsibility of the registrant.

DISCOUNTS

  • Please check with your local chapter, as many offer stipends. Volunteer and other opportunities are available to members who log into our database. Log into your account(or join AAJA)and look for the "#AAJA26" header at the far right to apply.

  • There may be a discount available for sponsor/group registrations, contact sponsorship@aaja.org.

  • Please ensure that you are logged in with your email address associated with your membership to access member rates.

AGENDA

  • No, convention will be in-person only.

  • No.

  • In accordance with our Code of Conduct, we will not be implementing full attendee waiver and release for capturing, using, editing, nor distribution for general media capture. Only AAJA National approved vendors, partners, and media passes for the purpose of media capture have explicit approval. For more information on partnerships or media passes, reach out to support@aaja.org.

  • Our complete programming schedule will be on our #AAJA26 app, which will be free for all registrants to download. Previews of sessions are listed on our convention website, https://www.aaja26.org/program 

  • Many recruiters attend the AAJA convention. Paper resumes are helpful, but the most effective way is to submit your resume through our Career Center and ensure your profile is up to date in the #AAJA26 app. 

  • Yes. The credential badge is needed to attend every official convention session and reception. Without it, you will not be able to attend sessions. Reprints are possible for a fee but they will take time to print.

  • Yes, you will need to RSVP for sessions and have your badge QR code scanned before you enter a session. Make sure you register for each session via the #AAJA26 app.

transportation and directions

  • #AAJA26 will be at the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis. The address is 1300 Nicollet Mall, Minneapolis, MN 55403.

  • Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport (MSP) is the closest airport and is approximately 15 minutes by car from the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis.

  • Below are a few options to get to the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis: 

    • Metro Blue Line Light Rail 

      • From the airport, take the Metro Blue Line Light Rail towards Mpls-Target Field. Nicollet Mall is the nearest metro station from the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis and is about a 15 minute walk, or there are several bus lines. Light Rail Trains leave every 12-15 mins and it is a 30 minute ride to the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis. It costs $2.00. 

    • Rideshare Apps

attire

  • Because there will be industry professionals present, we recommend smart casual/business casual attire.

  • It will be temperate in Minneapolis, but there will be air conditioning indoors. We recommend you check the weather before departing for Minneapolis, and bring appropriate outerwear and layers.
